The Panasonic DMC-LX2 is a camera designed for serious photographers who don't want the bulk of a digital SLR hanging round their neck
It includes a powerful 10.2 megapixel 1/1.65 inch CCD and a sharp, high-quality Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens, with both raw and TIFF video capture modes
The LX2's unique triple-wide' features of a 28mm wide angle Leica DC lens, 16:9 wide CCD and 16:9 wide 2.8 inch LCD screen, combine to deliver stunning resolution, sharpness and detail within a quality all-metal, compact-style body
It arrives with a built-in flash and boasts a 28-112mm focal length, Venus Engine III for reduced noise, 5 AF modes and a even 16:9 wide high definition movie mode at 15 fps
It's also a fully manual digital camera featuring including manual focus and manual exposure, which can be smoothly operated with a joystick to adjust white balance, high ISO setting, image size setting and compression format
The aspect ratio is easily selectable between 3:2 and the conventional 4:3 by using a slider switch on the lens barrel
The 16:9 widescreen mode provides enough creative options for the connoisseur, or you can switch to a more conventional aspect ratio without losing too many pixels
The advanced 2-mode MEGA Optical Image Stabilizer produces sharp images even when shooting at night.
